Windows 10 Drivers from Logitech a Pain - Keybd and Mouse Connections drops intermittently
Very disappointed. I have used Logitech devices for years as an IT Manager. This is the 1st time I am trashing them. This was our 2nd purchase for the MK545 combo, mouse keyboard. When these devices install they load up the Windows 10 basic HID Mouse and Keyboard Drivers. If you do not change the drivers to the Logitech drivers you will experience drop outs between both devices and the PC. The solution we have found is to unplug your "unifying" USB device, count to 5 and then plug it back in and that jolts Win 10 into connecting again.
Until you get the proper drivers installed, plan on doing this 1 to 2 x per day. Logitech has this problem noted on their site, and offers a bunch of time wasting solutions. They do not, however, specifically tell you how to install the Logitech drivers for these devices over the "BASIC" Win 10 drivers. Your devices are not BASIC and require specific drivers, and NOT the intrusive "Options" software that your website directs us to. The solution is to get the old tried and true Setpoint software and then work through it to get the Logitech Drivers installed. Good luck. MS Keyboard and Mouse next time.
