When I took it out of the box and plugged it in, it started getting hot, but not blowing. I unplugged it and made sure the temperature switch was on cool, and the fan was on off and plugged it back in, and it seemed fine. After the second use, my wife turned it off and hung it on the wall mount. A few minutes later her caregiver noticed a flame in the bathroom, and it was on fire. 10 minutes later, I would have been taking our caregiver to the airport, and I shutter to think what I would have come home too. Since she caught it quickly and had a handy fire extinguisher, I'm just having to deal with several days worth of Servicemaster cleaning, ducts and furnace cleaning, furnitureand carpet cleaning, vanity replacement and lots of personal items replaced. But my disabled wife is fine, and we still have our house, thank God! After this fire, I studied the 1 star ratings, and found out my experience was not unique. Amazon should not sell this product!
