I am a professional chef. I have purchased the standard green Benriner several times in the past and it has always been my favorite mandoline. I purchased the Vegetable Slicer Green (Old Version) from this seller in November because it was $5-$10 less expensive than it normally goes for. The product that I received looks like the standard green Benriner, but the blade was dull and it is glued in so that it cannot be removed. I even tried to melt the glue by heating it with a hair dryer but the blade will not budge. I would have been okay with the dull blade if I could remove it (by loosening the screws that typically hold the blade in place) and sharpen it, but since the blade is glued in I cannot remove it and the mandoline is pretty much useless. It shreds every vegetable that it manages to slice. I'm guessing that this is a used product made to look new. Do not trust this seller, buy your Benriner mandoline somewhere else.
