★★☆☆☆
All the positive reviews on this further erode my lack of faith in the amazon review system
I am a soft goods designer so take my experience for what it's worth
The Good:
Multi-layer design is more comfortable on hard/bumpy surfaces than a basic single layer blanket
Water-resistance is a nice feature and effective
The bad:
Main fabric is a low-quality loose-weave with large soft yarns that attract and hold dirt
Fabric starts to pill pretty quickly
I can never seem to fold it correctly to line up with velcro
The Ugly:
Good luck washing it. Like I said above the main fabric holds dirt.
Machine washing must be done on the gentle cycle and it came out looking as dirty as when I put it in
It must be hung to dry
Hand washing is a PITA and just not something I'm interested in doing as an entitled American with unrealistic expectations.
Overall it's a $26 blanket that tries to do too much for the price point.
A recurring theme on Amazon reviews I see is: "it's good for the price".
I'm tired of borderline disposable products and have come to realize that most of the products on Amazon are basically the same as what you'd find on AliExpress or Alibaba with a western sounding name. If you want cheap stuff just hop on Aliexpress.
