GARBAGE
ANYONE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS CABLE DUE TO ITS PRICE SHOULD KEEP SOMETHING IN MIND. IT IS CHEAP FOR A REASON: IT IS NOT COPPER. CCA STANDS FOR COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM. IT IS AN ALUMINUM WIRE WITH A FEW MICRONS OF COPPER PLATED ONTO IT. CCA Cable DOES NOT meet the specifications for Category5E, despite the manufacturer's deceptive claims. The standard lays out certain specifications for resistance, capacitance, crosstalk, etc. Aluminum cable is INCAPABLE of meeting these specifications. ANY CCA cable that is labeled as "Cat5", "Cat5e", "Cat6", etc is a fraud. DO NOT use this cable for PoE (Power over Ethernet) applications. The internal resistance of the aluminum is much higher than copper, and will result in the cable overheating when power is applied to it. It is a FIRE HAZARD. Aluminum cable has a far lower tensile strength than copper, and is more susceptible to conductor breakage while pulling. Open circuits after installation are not uncommon. Aluminum begins to oxidize instantly upon exposure to the air. Cutting the cable exposes the internal aluminum core, as does crimping on the ends or punching down to a jack. Oxidized connections fail quickly, and also cause high resistance points (again, fire hazards) in PoE applications. This cable is NOT rated for in-wall use, and it is NOT UL listed. Like I said, there's a reason this is cheap - it's cheap because it's garbage. As a network technician, I find that CCA is the cause of an ever-increasing amount of network issues. Spend a few more bucks and buy CMR rated, UL Listed, 100% copper cable from a name brand like Southwire, Carol, BlackBox, etc.
