I've been making my own ice cream for a few years now and was looking for something better than using a glass pyrex dish to store my ice cream in. These seemed like they'd work out well, and they had a lot of good reviews, so I purchased two of them. Pro's: - Elongated shape makes scooping ice cream very easy - Insulated design Con's: - The lids make very poor seals with the rest of the container. At best they seem to almost bow upwards in the middle, and at worst they actually won't stay 'snapped-in'. Not sure if I got a bad batch of these, but this is a problem because it causes the ice cream to develop freezer burn which is one of the main reasons for purchasing these in the first place.
