Not Japanese Version..... These batteries overheated severely when charging luckily it didn't leak or explode. This is Made in China now. And it's absolute garbage will not meet the specs & capacity it claims. All those other 1-star reviewers with photos of leaks are definitely Chinese versions. The previous generation / version was made in Japan. Those were excellent quality & capacity...Same as Black high capacity Eneloop Sanyo /Panasonic. In fact I think the Japanese versions were made for Amazon by Sanyo/Panasonic/Eneloop or at least in the same plant or materials. But thanks to corporate greed, or just plain stupidity. Mr B decided to give the business to China .....I would have gladly paid a few bucks more for Japanese Version. And nothing good ever comes out of China. ....And Who knows what kind of toxic chemicals are in this thing? As for Amazon they will probably delete this review or the censors will not post it in the first place.
