If you want to buy this for your 8 year old nephew, this is perfect for that. However coming from a 16 year old guitar player, I can tell you this is not for experienced players. Here's what i have to say, you get what you pay for. Some of the finish on it chipped off very easily. Also it comes with this plastic protective cover on the main body of the guitar, and when you peel it off, it gets stuck underneath the tuning/volume knobs. Not a huge deal, just makes it look bad. Here's the biggest issue about this guitar: The action is so incredibly high. In the middle of the fingerboard, the strings are at least a quarter inch off of the board. You have to push them down so much that playing a song on the middle of the board is damn near impossible. So, just adjust the truss rod, right? No, the truss rod no longer allows the strings to go down any further. So, was this worth $100? Absolutely not.
