I wanted so hard to believe that this was good and I gave it a fair chance and it was poor in theaters and the more I think about it, the more I dislike it. From a musical score, special effects, and a few lead actor's editing standpoint only (and the initial battle sequence) the movie is fantastic. Everything else about the movie is garbage - and you can thank Ryan Johnson (the director) for that. The plot line was frustrating, the script was poor, and the way of how the whole movie went was infuriating. Beyond the first five minutes, it went south fast. I kept thinking it would get better and instead it got worse and worse. I get (and am OK with) the movie (and the franchise) taking a new direction, with the caveat that it's actually a good movie. This was not a good movie and I have no desire to watch it again - let alone buy it. Ryan Johnson was clearly so bent on putting his own spin on things and adding his signature that, in the process, he ruined what could have been a superb movie. SO much potential and he ruined it. I hope your experience is better than mine (or a number of fellow fans) but buyer beware - this is *the* worst star wars movie produced yet (and that includes any of the prequels)
