Great idea, but can't recommend with this implementation
I'm a big fan of Cal and Deep Work, and had been hoping something like this would come out for quite a while. Things I like: 1) The format of the hourly planner. I'm convinced this is the best possible format. It is flexible and blows everything else out of the water. 2) The size of the pages. Somewhere in between a full-size notebook and an executive notebook, this is the ideal size for me. Things I don't like: 1) The material. The cover bends back horribly after just 3 days of use (see picture), yet the pages don't stay open. I want my planner to be open the entire day. I image that a spiral bound notebook is the way to accomplish this, although perhaps hardcover would work. 2) The introductory pages. I already read Deep Work- I don't want to carry 20 pages of it around everywhere I go. Perhaps if this were spiral bound, I could tear those pages out. Or if it were hardcover, a pamphlet could be included instead. 3) Half of the space is dedicated to Tasks/Ideas. These sections do not deserve a page every day. Maybe reduce the margins and put them in the top right of the hourly planning page? Hard to imagine someone changing their schedule four times in the first hour of the day, so that space is wasted as it is now. It might not be quite as aesthetic, but a $22/230 page planner should have more than 13 weeks in it, and this would make it easily possible. This might be good for people new to the method, but experienced time blockers will want to continue drawing a plan in their own spiral bound notebooks.
