If you have children, animals, or anything that is living going anywhere near these. Do not buy these blinds. I had these up for about 8 months, and the chemical smell coming from them got worse and worse. I had to take them down cause of the smell. They sat in a box for a few months, and as it’s getting hot again. I decided to wash them and try to get rid of the smell. Instantly after putting them in water it turned the water milky white. I took them out and was shocked to see all the white slippery material coming off. You can see from the photos, it came off in certain areas more - Kinda looks like a window, doesn't it? Here’s the kicker. If you look at the shape where most of the white stuff came off. It is the exact shape of the window where it had been hanging(see next photo). This is the most serious part of this. The material that they have use to block sun out. Seems to have reacted to light... This explains the smell getting worse and worse. Fumes and chemical crap going in to the air. You breath it in, and as we all know what chemicals give you... The second after I took that photo it went in the trash.
