For me, this Hamilton Beach deep fryer was a nightmare. Upon first use, it leaked most of the oil all over my counter from the bottom of the fryer. The cheap plastic lid wouldn't even close all the way so heat was lost, which of course, is counterproductive for a deep fryer. Sending back ASAP and going back to my first love, even though it's more $, the DeLonghi Cool Touch-now that's a quality deep fryer!! See ya, Hamilton Beach!!!
