Oh I was so looking forward to this book
I love the Royal Family and was eager to hear the 'real' story. I don't think this is it. This seems like a rehash of gossip and 'insider information' without a lot of corroboration. I also don't think that the Sussexes didn't contribute to this. I mean, how would the authors know that Meghan was facetiming in the bathtub the night before she got married?
One annoying thing with this book is that whenever a criticism of Meghan is raised, the authors are quick to point out that the Duchess of Cambridge did something similar. That got old very fast. The authors seemed to want to clearly put the Duchess of Cambridge in a negative light. For example, there was a comment that Meghan was sad that the DoC sent flowers for her birthday but that isn't want Meghan wanted--she wanted to the DoC to reach out to her and help her through her 'struggles' (which primarily seem to be that she is not allowed to speak her mind whenever she wants to). Even though the book makes it clear at the start that the DoC is very wary of new people and has a very tight circle of friends, it kept bashing her for apparently not being helpful to Meghan. That doesn't seem fair to me.
Anyway, it is well written but seems like gossip and rumor sprinkled with Sussex Propaganda. Oh well.
