Pathetic filter
This little aggravation took me all of 10 seconds to solve. Ok, when I ordered my percolator awhile back, it came with a sample pack of square filters (a flag should have just raised for those reading, a square does not fit into a round hole) that are supposed to act as an envelope around the coffee making cleanup minimal. Ought to be simple enough so press the square filters center hole over the tube inside the basket, tuck, add coffee, and proceed with placing each of the corners over the tube inside the basket to cover the coffee..........I just can't get past idiocy nor can I think of anything more fun than perhaps watching the grass grow. To make a long story short, this is almost impossible to do without destroying the filter making it just a piece of paper floating with the coffee grinds in the basket. After seeing the filter it was obvious from the beginning it would not work and for the ridiculous cost of them I knew I wouldn't be a future purchaser anyway. Never the less I tried one just to say I did and my estimations were correct, it's the brainchild of someone that has now clue on how things should work. Yes, the disc filters that were once commonly available in local markets are seen just more than the common dodo so what to do? Simple, take the remaining 972 basket shape filters that I was using in my now disposed of drip maker, fold them in half, punch a half circle with a hole punch in the center and you now have a perfect percolator filter that both works and makes tidying up much more easy. Btw, I'd give these zero stars if that were an option.
