Looks nice but is it too much to expect that bread can be toasted evenly on both sides? I bought one, returned it, the replacement started off ok, but is still inconsistent. I've tried toasting two slices of bread in one slot, and two slices one in each slot (sometimes this works better/more uniform) you will observe that the center racks illuminate 'red' = heat while the exterior racks barely look like they are working. If this is designed to only toast bagels evenly (which I havent tried) then it may just be the ticket. Its a shame because I was looking for an attractive budget priced toaster but it looks like upgrading to a SMEG might be the only option.
