Not terrible
So no one likes writing bad reviews so I am going to say this at the front this review will be spoiler free as the author on his website asks that people not spoil the book for others. I read the sample and really was not feeling the book but the synopsis kept pulling me back I like the whole revenge thing so I gave into my impulse and bought it. Good : The synopsis was great and did make me want to read. : Editing was well done with few spelling mistakes. Not my strong point in seeing these tho. Bad : Flat characters none of them really made me laugh or even interested me that much. You never get a sense of them even when you are in there heads they just seem very one dimensional. : The morality that the good guys profess to carry on seemed very disconnected with their reality. If someone is causing the death/misery to others and you do not stop them then you are as guilty as them especially if you are able to. In addition I just feel that given the pain some of them went through they would of at least wanted to prevent it from happening to others. : The manipulation in this story are gigantic huge ones, I am never of fan of having things like that as it makes your main character seem pathetic and stupid. In addition the sheer amount of misery these manipulations caused supposedly for the better were on a par with what the bad guys were doing. : The main plot device is very hard to get done right. And in this book you are left with a lot of plot holes and what ifs. : First part of the book as way to many view points and drags on to long I get why this was done but it was unnecessary for this book. : The money part was an aside that I felt could of been edited out as I did not feel it added to the story proper much at all. Overview The synopsis grabbed me hard enough to buy it but the finished product just was not enjoyable for me. I think this book could of been fun with some more feedback and some rewrites. Would I recommend this book? I am afraid not I just did not enjoy the read I never really cared about any of the characters and that made for a difficult read.
