Not all it's cracked up to be.....
Originally I would have rated this 4 or 5 stars. After finding out what the warranty actually covers however, can't say I'll like this for much longer. We purchased this mainly for making daily smoothies. The decision to get the 4-in-1 System was to also take advantage of the spirilizer and food processor, since it combined various kitchen gadgets into one, and really don't need the larger versions, nor lots of kitchen appliances taking up a lot of room,. The blender is great, strong motor, nicely designed blades that mix, chop, blend, whatever needs to be done quickly and efficiently. Definitely not quiet, but hey, it's a blender! Fast forward 4 months and I start noticing small amounts of liquid in the base of the motor, after removing the blender jar. Didn't think much about that, thought maybe it dripped down after removing the lid. But the last few uses I paid attention, and it's somehow leaking from the base of the blender. I don't see any obvious cracks in the blender jar, but there must be something, maybe between the stem that moves the blades and the jar. Get on the phone, call Square Trade, but guess what? Nope, they don't cover it, because "good news" it's still under manufacturer's warranty. Great, so a call goes out to SharkNinja. But they claim to only cover the motor and it sounds like the "blade" has a crack in it! Wait, the blade, that really really sharp item that blends and chops, etc? "Yes m'am". But for only $34.99 plus tax plus shipping you can get a replacement!! I don't think so...less than a year ago I paid big bucks for something that will probably get worse sooner rather than later. Bottom line, it will continue to be used until the leak/crack becomes more obnoxious than the lousy support from the manufacturer.
