I bought this for my mom for two nights of casual camping - I figured the self inflating would be easy for her so she wouldnt have to blow up an entire mattress like me, it still required some manual inflation to get it to its max thickness. Unfortunately, it just isnt thick enough to provide sufficient comfort and insulation. If you are camping on soft grass this may do it but it didnt cut it on gravel. I would recommend spending a little more money to get a thicker pad from a more reputable brand. UPDATE: I received an email from the company asking me to remove my review for a partial refund so I lowered my rating to one star.
