I have dealt with all kinds of people and companies in my 30 years as the Rankin/Bass Historian/Biographer and this was undoubtedly the worst experience I have had to date. No interest in the original 1964 color ending, missing scenes, etc. Involving people that have told me directly or through others that they really don't care for the Rankin/Bass specials (One who is doing commentary). Arthur Rankin would have been very angry with the way this all went down. The 2001 Golden Books dvd collection is your best bet, until these get the right treatment they deserve. Also, this is about the type of cover I expected from this crew. It is really sad to see this happen with specials so many hold dear to their hearts. I was willing to help and was told I was going to be a big part of these by the doc Producer and then others sabotaged the Rankin/Bass history.
