I have 2 of these boxes. The first (older) one is fine. The second box had undergone a "design update" that I hate, hate, hate. The tray has rectangular "cups" in each corner. The older box did not have this. These "cups" fill up with urine if the cat pees close to the corners of the box. Then when it's time to change the pad, you have to deal with urine dripping or slopping out of these cups and onto your hands. You have to empty this urine out...and into what? It's a MESS! This is a serious design flaw and I would NOT recommend this box.
