First of all this enclosure was very easy to use. I have this configured with a 3TB HDD and its plugged into my wifi router and configured as a NAS. The problem is that the "intelligent" sleep technology turns off the hard drive in the middle of a movie, killing the stream. There is no way to turn off the intelligent sleep, so my opinion is that there is no way to keep this hard drive enclosure in use as a NAS drive due to this. My advice to the manufacturer: Make the intelligent sleep function a setting that is optional.
