Very disappointed. The visuals are stunning but that's the only good thing I can say about the series. At every opportunity the writers broke from Tolkien's lore. From warrior Galadriel to romantic relationships between humans and elves being all but unheard of (it happened twice in thousands of years before Aragorn and Arwen in the 3rd Age) and here the writers treat it like it's no big deal. I wonder if the writers even read The Silmarillion? This could have been a great addition to Tolkien's lore, instead it's like a CW version of a sword and sorcery series. Thank Eru Iluvatar Amazon doesn't have the rights to the First Age.
