I purchased this specifically for the "Sun Shade". Could have gone with a cheaper pool without a shade, but the shade sold me. Blew it up with no issues the night before. Early morning, took it out without the shade to fill up (so water would be warmer before kids went in the afternoon). Left it when it was filled to fill line and came back 3 hours later and noticed water level had gone lower than fill line, almost half gone. Thought it was strange, but decided to fill it up again. Kids finally ready to go in 2 hours later, to find water level had gone down AGAIN. With anticipating kids, house full of guests, and more food to cook, I let kids use it, with the hose near by to do refills. Tried putting the shade up. Or more accurately called "waste of time". Would not stay up. too heavy on top, the 4 little velcro circles could not keep it attached to pool. Had to lean it against tree, or had adult holding it. Finally tied strings and tied it down to ground. After kids kept knocking it out, finally ended up on the floor. I could have gone with a cheaper, bigger pool with a slide, etc instead of getting this one with the "sun shade". After party over and cleaning up, found a tear in the bottom of the pool. Ordered Monday. Paid for 1-day ship and got it Tuesday. Used it Wednesday for less than 2 hours of "trial and error" fun. Contacting Amazon for refund on Thursday. That is the lifespan of this pool.
