Functionally this charger seems fine - it quickly charges my iPad and other gadgets. It's got a small foot print (about 3 " long by 2" wide" x 1 " thick, which makes it useful in a small space. But it makes noises - specifically, it hisses and wheezes like a leaky window. Shortly after I got it, I started hearing a noise. It sounded like wind seeping through a poorly sealed window. I checked the window -no air seeping in. A little later I heard the noise again, checked the window. Maybe it's some air in the water pipes? or a drip? No, no, and no. This went on, intermittently, for several days. Finally I though to check the one new thing in the area - and sure enough, the charger sometimes makes a hissing sound. Not satisfactory, and frankly makes me nervous as to what the status of the wiring might be
