Got a slim laptop? Read this. This product only works if you have a *fat* laptop. Why? Because with a slim profile laptop the lower edge of this product's metal lip will protrudes about 1/4 inch straight up into your wrists - for as long as you happen to be wanting to type on your laptop. When the pain level has eventually reached a sufficient level from the metal edge digging into your wrists- you will quit and want to throw this poorly thought out product (pos?) far into the trash. Whoever designed this needs to revisit this rather outdated design, to say the least. If you have an older laptop that is fairly fat (say 1 inch plus), you should be ok.
