If you want to buy this for a kids mattress protector DO NOT. We have a 2 year old boy who is potty trained during the day but had a hard time holding his bladder all night. Most nights are great. He has had 3-4 accidents in about 5 months. So we thought that this mattress cover would be ok for a brand new mattress WRONG. It's only happened once but the urine soaks right through. I would not recommend this cover for this situation get something better. Its fine for adults or older kids
