I have been a quilter for over 20 years, but this is the first time I have encountered so many incorrect instructions in a quilt book. For example, the 'Patina' pattern in the book (pg 119) lists a requirement of 3/8 yard of the 'Freedom Blue' color, yet instructs cuts which require 3/4 yard. Similarly, the instructions for the yardage and cuts for the fuchsial and kiwi fabrics are incorrect. In preparation, I had cut each fabric as instructed and placed each set of color-coded fabrics in individual, marked plastic sandwich bags for organization, marked with appropriate fabric color and cut lengths. As I move through the sewing instructions I have encountered the above editing mistakes and more in the pattern. This has required 2 additional trips to 2 different quilt stores to buy more fabric in order to have the required amount needed. I will contact the technical editor of this publication, Lisa Silverman, regarding the errors. I CANNOT recommend this book to anyone.
