One of the most poorly designed appliances of any kind I have ever encountered. I am apt with all sorts of devices, but this is a puzzlement. It is hit or miss getting the food bowl seated and locked, and even more tenuous getting the two-piece lid joined, seated, locked and operating. Instruction booklet not of much use. I can never seem to replicate getting it to operate after using it and putting it in the dishwasher. When it works, it does a decent chopping job, but only after much gnashing of teeth. Sorry I did not get the Cuisinart..
