I bought this toaster because it was pretty (I thought it would look nice in my kitchen). Unfortunately, the chrome exterior they used is not actually heat resistant--it becomes discolored immediately after you use it the first time (see photo). This spoils the overall appearance of the toaster, in my opinion--why don't you make a toaster that is, you know, RESISTANT TO HEAT? SMH. Anyway, I had to return it. A shame, because it's a really nice toaster, otherwise. It toasts things. No complaint in that department.
