Given that this was "Amazon's Choice" and $40 I decided to take a chance since I needed a solid bike lock. Out of the box the lock feels solid, it has significant weight to it and feels very sturdy, it's looking like a solid buy. However I should have known I was in for trouble the moment I started just opening and locking it in my living room. Right out of the box the lock was inconsistently jamming and wouldn't open, but after a day or two of testing it in my home I was able to open it consistently and told myself that the initial problems may have simply been user error. Well user error or not, I regret buying this lock now. Within two days of use the lock is now totally jammed and my bike sits locked in the parking garage. The key twists and turns in the lock without having any effect on the actual locking mechanism in the U. No amount of WD-40 has been able to save me so far, so I will probably need to get someone to cut it. At least my bike isn't going anywhere.
