I sincerely hope first-time prospective buyers read my review--I rarely, if ever, review products, good or bad. So, please hear me out... Over the last few years, I have purchased a total of 3 of these Automatic Cat Litter Boxes. The first time I bought this product at full price ($120) and it was great; I would have highly recommended it to anyone. But after about a year or so the motor stopped working, so naturally, I bought a new unit--my belief is that whenever you buy a product like this, you can't expect it to work perfectly forever, especially when it is being used daily by your pet. The second time I bought this product it was on sale ($80). At first, it worked just as good as the previous unit. However, the motor started malfunctioning shortly thereafter (4 months); which surprised me since it seemed to be the exact same product I originally purchased. I contacted customer service after it stopped working and they replaced the motor under the 1-year warranty. It worked just fine for about two more months, then stopped all together. Long story short, I have had to contact customer service to replace the motor under warranty for my second unit a total of 3 times within a period of 6 months (which was NOT as easy as the first time I contacted them). Moreover, the motor had notably changed and was not the same as the original. Even though they have sent me a new motor(s), I realized the duration/functionality of the motor(s) decreased each time I had to call to replace it. I think the company has re-designed the motor and it is NOT as powerful as the original product. All in all, this product is a good litter box to introduce you to an automatic cleaning system in general, but I would strongly discourage people from buying this product as it now stops working shortly after purchase. I am now on my 3rd unit, and have only had it TWO DAYS. It has already stopped working, and even though I can reset it's functionality, it is not worth doing every week... nor have I found it useful to call in the warranty, seeing as it has not solved the problem. To give you some background, I have one cat and when I first purchased this product I only had to empty/clean the waste box once a week. I am now having to check/reset it daily for malfunctions. I would advise those who are interested in this product to look elsewhere, based on my experience. At this point, if you are looking to decrease your work in cleaning your cat's litter box, I would not recommend this product--it'll only cause you more headache with having to either (1) reset the motor or (2) contact customer service for the warranty.
