Sensationalist TRASH movie loaded with politics.
The acting was good, that's it. The cgi was pretty sloppy. The story was AWFUL. The science was severely flawed - aint no buildings gonna be standing after something like THAT hits the Earth. If you were expecting a disaster story that's not what this was, it was a really drug out piece of drama. It was mostly about the family dynamics and political messages rather than about the movie. There was tons of Deus ex Machina scenes that you just KNEW were coming and it makes you mad to have your intelligence insulted. The worst part.... all white people in the movie are scripted as trashy thugs and all non-white people in the money are scripted as compassionate self-sacrificing saints. I haven't bothered to rent a newer movie in about 6 months, I am sorry I tried again with this one. Hollywood deserves to go broke.
