Wish I had read the critical reviews more thoroughly before giving this to my dog. After giving the chews to my dog for a couple of days, my dog got very sick. Vomiting several times in four hours, shaking and no eating or drinking. She has had GI issues before but this one was very serious. After visiting the vet, the medicine stopped the vomiting but she was constipated for a while. When she finally went potty, it was diarrhea that lasted for days. After all this, I started reading critical reviews here and found someone had reported exactly the same symptoms for their dog. Coincidentally, our dogs are both 11 yo. My dog has had other veggie chews from Trader Joe’s before and was fine. So I can’t say with certainty that all veggie chews are bad for older dogs. I also see numerous positive reviews here so I am not going to say that everyone should avoid this product. However, if you have an older dog and this is the first time introducing veggie chews to your dog, I would think twice before purchasing.
