I would not recommend purchasing MONSTER CABLE SURGE PROTECTORS, THEY are very difficult with honoring THEIR CONNECTION AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE WARRANTY. I HAVE THE HTS1000MKIII, THAT Was PURCHASED ON 2/12/2009. I HAD A SURGE ON AUGUST 18TH 2011 AND CALLED TO FILE A CLAIM, THEY REFUSED TO FILE THE CLAIM AND Would NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HAS THEM RATED AS A C- BECAUSE SO MANY COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN FILED WITH THIS COMPANY. I would not recommend the purchase their products again. Follow up as of December 2011: I had to file complaints with the BBB and the Attorney General in my state in order to get them to finally take my claim seriously and honor it, which they finally decided to do.
