★☆☆☆☆
Flabbergasted
I read some of the negatve reviews and agree. As I finished reading the story, I wondered if I should apologize for being white. I wondered what age group this book would be appropriate to read. I wondered about the “racial” climate that exists in her children’s school and about the personnel whose input was appreciated.... What upset me the most is the thought that books like this leads to the indoctrination of identity politics and victimization of children AND fear of the police. I wish there was a way to give this book 5 GARBAGE stars.
