When I first got this blanket, it kept me quite comfortable at the low setting, and toasty on the medium setting. High was too hot, so I never used that setting. In under four months of use, the blanket now barely gets as warm on the high setting as it originally did on low. The material is also pretty thin, so it doesn’t work very well as a regular blanket without the electric heat. I would recommend finding a different blanket with thicker material, and with better quality components, instead of this one. UPDATE Oct 2016: A warranty replacement blanket also stopped working properly in even less time. I hooked a multimeter up to the blanket and found that it will randomly drop to 0.4W while the controller claims the blanket is on, or not even rise at all when I select a heat level. When the blanket still chooses to work, it randomly draws between 20W and 40W regardless of the heat setting. The controller indicates that it is rated up to 180W so it is no surprise this blanket is not working. The electronics are garbage.
