I use to own the original Caribous when they were made in Canada. Those were warm and well made boots! I read the reviews that these new Caribou II (made in CHINA) simply do not have the same quality build but I wanted to try them myself. I should have listened to all the negative reviews as these boots are nothing like the originals. They are not warm and barely water resistant (small puddles of melted ice = wet toes). I am not subjecting them to harsh winter conditions at all. I am using them to shovel snow and take 30-45 mins walks around the neighborhood which the roads are plowed and packed down. Even in these mild conditions my feet are cold (my feed generally do not get cold easily). My old Caribous I used for snowmobiling, if I used these my feet would absolutely freeze. I would highly recommend not buying these boots and get any other pair/brand.
