Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I purchased this having read mixed reviews. I didn't expect it to save me lots of money, but since about half the reviews were positive, I figured if it saved me a buck or two a month, it would pay for itself in a year... Well, I only had out for about a month and 1/2 and my electric bill went up slightly! The weather was actually unseasonably warm at the time, so it couldn't have been due to increased furnace use. I researched this product more & discovered that it was a capacitor, and basically is of no use in a residential setting. The unit was warm to the touch & I had read some reports about these cheap capacitors catching fire, so I immediately unplugged it & returned it for a full refund.
