Not worth the money
I was soooo hoping I was going to love this. Unfortunately it was a big miss for me.
1. They advertise as self-cleaning, however there are MANY steps to cleaning parts after use. The only thing that self cleans is the roller. You have to clean out the water bin, the filter, the base, the crevices in the vacuum and then after you run the roller, you get to clean it all again. The cleaning process was so lengthy that I literally could’ve manually mopped the floor in the same time- so it didn’t save me any time.
2. The vacuum and water tanks are supposed to separately gather dry debris and the dirty water. However, there was a lot of the dry debris all throughout the various parts where it wasn’t supposed to go. I think this also made the clean up much messier.
3. The mop didn’t seem to clean the floor well. I have a laminate shine floor and a ceramic tile. The mop didn’t pick up any little spots, even when I held down on the cleaning solution and went over the same area a few times. It left a lot of streaks on the laminate- which I could have lived with if the mop actually cleaned the floor.
4. There isn’t an indicator that beeps or tells you when you should stop mopping with enough solution left to run the “self clean” roller cycle. So, after measuring it out to mop, I had to take another step to make more in order to clean the roller.
The process was so tedious and messy that it defeats the purpose of a two-in-one design. It was returned the day I got it.
Update: I heard good things about the Bissell Spinwave Cordless Mop so I ordered that, rather than hope for a miraculous 2in1. I posted a picture so everyone could see the difference in mopping effectiveness.
