Silica itself works very well; however, the see through window on the container used to identify when the silica needs "reactivated" becomes cloudy and un-usable after 1 reactivation. Makes it very difficult to know when the gel needs reactivated, as you can no longer see the color of the silica through the window, and the case itself is very difficult to open without spilling the silica everywhere. I've ordered two 'packs of 5' of these. Although both were ordered from Hydrosorbent fulfilled by Amazon about 1 month apart...1 set arrived stamped "reactivate at 250 degrees" and says "LOCKDOWN" instead of HYDROSORBENT and the other set of 5 are stamped "reactivate at 300 degrees" and are stamped with teh HYDROSORBENT brand name. The ones stamped "250 degrees" became cloudy after only 1 reactivation at 250*. The set stamped 300* appear to be perfectly fine. I had to take apart the 250* containers to make sure the silica reactivated correctly; and it did (as seen in pictures); just makes a mess when you pop it open. As other reviewers have noted, it seems hit & miss when you actually receive the HYDROSORBENT branded items. Since it's a gamble, I do not recommend.
