Beware!!! Book is manipulative, and the basis for an Amway Scam.
Why does this have such a high rating? This book is meant to groom you into believing that you should trust everyone, and for you to want to find success in blind faith. I felt manipulated after reading it. I only read it after being approached for a position on Linkedin by a man stating that he was from a “Start up”. Then I set up a Zoom meeting and him and his wife were there. In the Zoom meeting, they said that they want to build a company, and wanted me to help, but to first I had to read this book. I was super busy with work and school, so I stated that it would be a week before I could read it. The man was visibly frustrated, and his wife tried to smooth it over and say that was fine. When I was asking questions about the company and my position, they were extremely vague about job descriptions and compensation. Again they said to read the book first. Feeling strange about what they were trying to accomplish with this, I decided to read the book anyways. We set up another phone meeting, and details were vague again despite me being pushier for answers. They said there was going to be a national Zoom meeting with “coaches” that evening, and I had to dress in formal wear to attend. Now my sixth sense was buzzing with something amiss. I agreed, but after the phone call started googling Go-Giver scam. Found in multiple, multiple blog posts about this book and Rich Dad Poor Dad instances of the same story, but before COVID-19, they were approaching people at coffee houses. Apparently, Amway had to construct a new way to continue during the virus. So it seems it’s Amway buried deep beneath deception now lurking in LinkedIn... I told the couple that I wouldn’t be making the meeting.
