I bought this mattress about 3 years ago, and loved it at the time, so we bought another one last year. fast forward to now. I am discovering this mattress has fiberglass! Everytime I get near my bedframe, I get shards of fiberglass in my feet, it hurts, and it itches. it feels like I've gotten into a fight with a cactus. I have NEVER unzipped the cover, but the whole underside of my bed is covered in shiny shards of fiberglass (both of them!the newest bed is the worst one!).My bed is on a zinus 14" metal platform base with slates. I got curious what was going on and so I got on my hands and knees and took a look under my beds... there are shards of shiny fiberglass covering the whole underside of the beds, it's all over my floor as well... (And it's painfully in my hands now) my room floor is covered in fiberglass and I itch...My father has had respiratory issues ever since we bought this bed, and I just now noticed the fiberglass. the fiberglass is heaviest in areas around the slates. I am assuming the slates are rubbing the cover and weakening it. the tag says this bed can be used with or without foundation, but it's unsafe on a slate style bed frame apparently. nowhere on this page does it mention this bed contains fiberglass (would not have purchased if I had known) I do not recommend this bed. unfortunately we have 2 of these in our house now. Everytime you try to change the bedsheets the fiberglass spreads up the sides and top of mattress. 😔
