I've been feeding hummers since 1982, and never had an experience with a feeder as bad as this one. Where to start? It took the hummers almost 2 months to find the feeder (that's never happened before). The reservoir doesn't hold 8 oz- so if you make 8 oz of food (one cup, easy to deal with when making a 1-4 ratio), you have to throw syrup out. The device doesn't sit flat - it droops, which creates problems. The thing fell off the window even though I use the trick of spreading a thin layer of olive oil on the suction cup before applying to the (clean) window. The cover comes off when you lift it. If that happens outside, you need to bring the whole thing in and start over because it doesn't go on easily unless you're on a flat surface. And you'll spill sugar water all over the place carrying the thing in. Because of the way the thing is designed, the birds would spray syrup all over the window. Never seen that before, either. But the kicker? The ant moat doesn't work. I heard other people talk about how the ants can swim. Yes, they can. And they can build bridges. You should fill these moats with vegetable oil - but the argentine ants that found my feeder (which was 60 feet off the ground!!!!) managed to bridge the moat and get into the feeder. Unbelievable.
