The product was purchased for nonweightbearing aerobic exercise. The design of the seatback lock was defective, allowing the seat to suddenly snap back without warning. I was fortunate to avoid major injury the first time this happened. Examining the assembly made it possible to adjust the seatback so that it would stay in place, but it required hammering the keeper pin to ensure that it was finally seated in the inadequately designed locking mechanism. The placement and motion of the arm exercise levers appears to be suitable for an orangutan, but difficult and uncomfortable for human use. The bends in the arm exercise levers made adequate adjustment virtually impossible for use, and the keeper holes pre-drilled in the handles were useless. The arm exercise levers can marginally be used by adjusting them and locking them by screw pressure, but since there is no corresponding hole for the keeper pin, they must be repeatedly rechecked for tightness. The drive mechanism is smooth and the resistance setting barely adequate. Overall, I was disappointed and frustrated with this piece of equipment, for the above reasons.
