the machine is good and well built. however one of the main axles had an issue so had to order a new part. the replacement part also came very fast (5 days). took me around 3 hr with some help from my wife to put together the machine. the biggest complaint I have is how they (both proform and ifit) are tricking the customer into signing up for iFIT membership. Once the machine is assembled, the product guide, assembly guide, as well as onscreen instructions, will tell you to go to ifit.com/activate to use the machine. First I was confused on why I need to go to iFIT to use a proform machine console. so once you goto iFIT website, they will ask you series of question to create your account and in the end, they will ask you to put into your credit card details for membership. the first 30-days are free but after then its auto-payment every month. Again, until this point no indication of how to activate my machine console. Then once fraud iFIT had all my personal data and credit card info, they ask you to download an ios/android app. you log into the app and then follow the instruction to activate the machine. so here is the part which made me so angry with these company and how they are tricking consumers to collect their data and force them into giving up their personal details including credit card. so here it goes. how to 'activate' your machine console for you to start using your machine. follow these steps and you can thank me later. - on your machine console, it will tell you go to ifit.com/activate. ignore this step - Find the iFIT blue button on the console (top-right corner, see the photo). it looks like a sticker/logo but its a button. they did that way so that customer doesn't find out or fiddle with the machine to activate it without going online. - hold the button down for 30-sec (of course, make sure your machine is power on). that's it. you are in your console and can start using your machine. I was so angry with both proform and ifIT to force the customer to give up their personal data to use their product. I tried searching Q&A and comment section here but couldn't find any info so thought I post this! enjoy your machine and workout.
