Beware: This edition only works on ONE account!
Firstly, I want to point out that my son and I love the original Star Wars: Battlefront. We pre-ordered Batllefront II for his birthday in April. Anyone purchasing the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition needs to know that the upgrades promised in this more expensive version will only work once, on only one account. So, if you are like me, who plays the game on one account and has his son on a sub account, only one of you will receive the upgrades promised in this edition. There is no mention anywhere stating otherwise. Total greed. Unfortunately, that means my son's account did not receive any of the character upgrades promised. The precedent set for previous games were for upgrades/content/etc to be available to all accounts on the same system. This is new and disturbing. As far as the game itself is concerned, gameplay and graphics are an improvement over the previous version. However, the loot box system is terrible. EA has TEMPORARILY removed the pay-to-win purchasing of crystals, but that does not negate the fact that you are basically gambling your way to upgrades. Luckily, the internet has voiced its disdain loud and clear to EA. Micro-transactions do not belong in a game we have purchased $60-80 for. It's one thing if they are only for cosmetic upgrades, but EA has really insulted their fanbase here. EA's greed in handling this Elite Edition and their use of loot boxes overshadows what should be one of their best games.
