These are probably one of the most unreliable air purifiers I've ever used. In my experience, you'll have 50% chance of getting one that lasts. We initially ordered two of the vevas, and within a week one had a massive violent rattle coming from the motor. I contacted customer support, and to their credit, had a replacement to my door within 3 days. The replacement I received was... finicky. If you touched anything on the sides or top, it would make the upper blower grind somehow. Even switching from 1 to 2 or moving the unit will make it grind. It works as long as I don't look at it funny, make sure it perfectly level, or move it at all. Our second unit had a upper fan that went out of balance. Every 30 seconds you would hear plastic on plastic grinding on level 1 and 2. I contacted them, and this one was replaced too. The replacement I got has been rock solid so far. These do suck dust, cat hair, and everything else if they are working. The filters are cheap and they have the best customer service I've ever dealt with. On the down side... the units are extremely unpredictable, unreliable, and should be more sturdy inside the upper and lower part of the shell. Another thing that bothers me is it gets dust buildup on the exhaust with both filters in place. To sum it all up.. I bought 2, had both replaced, now 1 works and the other has acted up since day one, and will die sooner or later. These guys have awesome customer service and vanessa does a great job, but they seriously need to look at the inner shell design, because it needs revamped. I wouldn't recommend this unit. The filters are cheap, but the units just aren't worth the hassle. If I could get a refund and send these back and shop for something else, I would. Honestly, I don't think these are capable of taking the beating from even being shipped, and is probably a big part of the issue because they feel fragile compared to other purifiers.
