I was initially very impressed with the night capability of this camera, so much that after one night's result I ordered another one. But after the first night of use, it stopped activating in darkness and only started again during daylight. Although the batteries were new, I replaced them just in case but it made no difference in subsequent nights. The second camera arrived and I put both of them out last night, side by side, covering the exact same area. Camera #1 again failed to record during darkness but camera #2 recorded arctic hare activity throughout the night so I know camera #1 is not working. I will put them out again tonight and I hope camera #2 continues to work. I will be retuning camera #1 regardless. Edit: Camera #2 also failed to record video at night on the second night after working great the first night, just like Camera #1. I am still testing different settings. Last night Camera #1 recorded photos at night. Tonight I am testing both cameras to shoot both photos and videos. But if these cameras don't reliably record night video, they are worthless to me and will be returned. Would love to hear something from GardePro on this...
