I have 3 brands of UPS's in my house. APC, Cyberpower and one TRIPPLITE 1500VA 900W. It comes with a 3 year warranty and low and behold, it died @ 3 years. We noted last big power outage that it seem to die early. I mean as soon as we lost power, it died. No warnings that the battery was going bad or anything but just would die if you pulled the power cord out of the wall. I have various size UPS's. Most are in the 1500va range. I have 3 not including this TRIPPLITE in my office. Two I purchased around the same time I got the TRIPPLITE and still hold a long charge. So, I give it two stars mostly because there was (is) no warning that something is wrong. Pressing the test button just gives you a beep, nothing happens. So, I'm replacing it with a APC or Cyberpower. We just did a UPS renewal discussion at last week and I had mentioned how this unit has malfunctioned without warning and if you look around the Internet, people are so/so with this brand. So, of the couple hundred UPS's we are buying, TRIPPLITE won't be on the list. So, in retrospect, I gave this brand a try. It failed my expectations therefore, it's no longer on the list of options when dependability and reliability are concerned.
