Safety Alert: no battery overcharge protection
This radio battery has no overcharge protection so you can't just leave it plugged in. The radio instructions expect you to monitor the charge status light during charging, which can take anywhere from 3 to 11 hours) and then disconnect it until it needs charging again. Here's why this really matters: when lithium batteries are overcharged, that causes internal damage and risk of a battery fire. Or a very short battery life (and this one is non-removable). Just received mine today, and upon reading these instructions, I will be returning it.
